It is the first time that the NVAO has awarded a special accreditation for Internationalisation. IBMS Eindhoven was the only Fontys programme which participated in this pilot. 20 other Bachelor and Master programmes from both The Netherlands and Belgium have taken part in this accreditation.
International Business and Management Studies of Fontys Institute of Marketing Management in Eindhoven belongs to a select number of Bachelor programmes which will receive the 'distinctive feature Internationalisation'. On Wednesday 15 December this new quality certificate has been awarded by the NVAO, the Dutch-Flemish Accreditation Organisation.
The distinctive feature is a special recognition of the international character of the programme. In order to qualify for the 'distinctive feature' the IBMS programme was evaluated on six standards: vision and policy, internationalisation, learning outcomes, teaching & assessment, staff, students and services. Especially the diversity of the student population and the commitment to international students were considered to be strong points IBMS.
