Professional perspectives
In the International Business and Management Studies course you are trained in management skills that enable you to operate in an international company. These can either be multinationals or international companies in your own country. Besides these management skills, you develop a number of professional skills that will enable you to deal with issues such as:
- preparing and evaluating a company’s international strategy;
- conducting market research and drawing up an international marketing and sales plan;
- organising the company’s international activities;
- reacting to/preparing for changes in the political, economic and legal environment;
- dealing with intercultural management issues;
- planning & controlling the financial resources for international activities.
In the International Business and Management Studies course you are trained in those management skills that enable you to operate in an international company.
Characteristic of the International Business and Management Studies course is the broad business perspective. You can think of positions in the field of marketing and management, e.g. employee in an international marketing or export department, export manager, management assistant within a multinational company, relation manager in international sales, marketing specialist in E-business.
